Comixed.com: Damn near busted my gut!
I’ve got my Google Reader actively aggregating a number of RSS feeds including many humorous ones. The latest is Comixed.com that showcases Yonkoma styled comical strips. Imagine the daily comics section of the newspaper done with photographs of people arranged and captioned to tell a joke or to depict a funny scene.
What follows is today’s addition. It was the best way to end a rather miserable work day.

New OpenPGP RSA Key
I created a new set of OpenPGP keys on the recommendation from Debian regarding the weaknesses of DSA and its use of the SHA-1 digest algorithm. I tried to post my official transition message but WordPress furks some of the characters making it a broken message. Instead, I’ve updated my Contact page with the new info and uploaded the transition message as a static page HERE existing outside of WordPress’s influence.
My Brother and the 783 MP BN Coming Home
My brother is finally returning home from Afghanistan. His unit, the 783 MP BN out of Inkster, MI, is set to return tomorrow, Thursday, July 2. They are currently stateside making their way back as fast as the Army is willing to move them.
It was a great relief getting word from David about his trip back. Mom and I will be going to pick him up. The families got word about their return before some of the soldiers did. That means we have to travel into Michigan which, as proud Ohioans (Go Buckeyes!), we don’t do unless absolutely necessary.
And there will be plenty of time to say it tomorrow, but I can’t help to say it now. To every one of the soldiers belonging to the 783rd, thank-you for everything, and welcome home.

Cleveland Cavaliers 2008-2009 [End]; LeBron James
As I watch the final moments of the Cleveland Cavs’ NBA season in the Eastern Conference Finals, I’m reminded of a past when I still enjoyed the game of basketball. Since my high school years, I’ve been disappointed with the game in general. Living in Cleveland didn’t make it any easier as it stands that our professional sports teams can never fully grasp the brass ring.
Then came LeBron James.
Since LeBron graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary’s, I’ve given him every opportunity to disappoint me. With his talent and the subsequent media hype, I was fully prepared to endure another NBA primadonna who felt the world owed him everything. Worst, he’d do it while playing for the home team. For six years, I waited and in the end my expectations fell short.
While I have to live with another year with another home town sports team coming only within sight of the brass ring, I am thankful that the young man they named the league’s MVP this year brought my heart back to the game. My friends and I agree. LeBron James is pound for pound the best all-around player the NBA has ever seen.
His attitude both on and off the court is second to none. St. Vincent-St. Mary’s made a very educated, articulate, responsible, and respectful young man out of him. If the NBA were ever in need of an ambassador of the sport, they should look no further.
To LeBron James, Žydrunas Ilgauskas, Mo Williams, Delonte West, Anderson Varejão, Daniel Gibson, Sasha Pavlovic, Joe Smith, Wally Szczerbiak, Ben Wallace, Mike Brown, and everyone else from the Cavs….
Thanks for a great season. We’ll be counting the days until the start of the next.

Google: Pet Marriage Tales Of Pirates
I don’t even want to know, but there’s over 3,000,000 results for it.

Social Networking: Last Round
I mentioned a short time ago that I was planning to utilize social networking sites more. It began with Last.fm through the enjoyment of the music I listen to periodically. I had some misgivings about the other major sites due to privacy and security concerns, but there was too much intrigue to pass them up completely.
Fiction: Firey Advice
“Investigators at the scene describe it as a pile of ash mixed with pajamas and a laptop computer. Only after countless hours in a forensics lab were they able to piece together what was left of the burnt laptop’s hard drive. On it they found what they describe as the victim’s last interaction with humanity. It was an email sent from a person calling themselves, simply, ‘Blaze’. Only the last fragment was intact. It read as follows:
‘…too funny! Make sure you get outside to…’
MyBrute.com: Settle Up Your Differences In The Arena
I’m not much a fan of online games. This of course is a small lie as I’ve been engrossed with Mob Wars and Street Racing at Facebook for the last month. But in the most part, online games don’t attract my attention, which is normally in short supply.
MyBrute sets you up with your own personal warrior to go at it head-to-head ala Thunderdome style (“Two men enter. One man leaves.”) You type in a name to generate your warrior. You can change its appearance and coloring to suit your own taste. Then the battles begin.
It’s as easy as it’s entertaining. You pick your opponents, then sit back and watch as they take turns punching, kicking, stabbing, hitting until one of them is critically injured. As you gain experience from the matches, you gain extra strength, agility, and speed. You also obtain weaponry and special skills.
You also get your very own unique mybrute.com address in order to access your warrior and gain recruits which help you build stats.
Classic David Letterman Clip
I went hunting for video clips on Youtube tonight. It started with watching clips of LeBron James making basketball look like child’s play and ended up with some of David Letterman’s Top Ten Lists. On a whim, I clicked on the link for the following video. It’s been a while since I laughed so hard at the suble humor involved.
